Talks Qi Zhen: Perceived Temperature: Another Interpretation of Boltanski’s Works

“Reminiscence”, “sorrow”, “death”, “destiny” are words we often think of and use when we talk about Boltanski’s works. However, the word “temperature” is rarely mentioned. To. This episode of Qi Zhen is to explain another way of interpreting Poltowski's works from the perspective of “temperature”.

The theme of the lecture was from the experience of Min Zhen in 2010 when he visited Boltanski’s work "Personnes" in the "Monumenta" series exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris. Boltanski hopes that when visitors visit the exhibition, they will not look at the work in front of the work, but in the "inside" of the work, and the temperature, smell and even the reaction of the audience will participate in the construction of the work.

In the lecture, Yan Zhen will start from the perspective of an art creator, analyze the “temperature” of the materials used in the works of Boltanski and the “temperature” of the space in which the works are displayed. At the same time, he will also serve as an ordinary audience. Starting from the "temperature" perceived by the work, try to interpret Boltanski’s work from multiple levels.
